Celine, the French luxury fashion house established in 1945 by Céline Vipiana, has a storied history in haute couture and leather goods. In 2019, under the creative direction of Hedi Slimane, Celine introduced its Haute Parfumerie collection, marking the brand’s return to perfumery after a hiatus since 1964.

The Haute Parfumerie collection debuted with 11 unisex fragrances, each reflecting Slimane’s personal olfactory journal. The perfumes are categorized for day and night wear, with day scents including “Parade,” “Saint-Germain-Des-Prés,” “Cologne Française,” “La Peau Nue,” “Rimbaud,” “Bois Dormant,” and “Eau de Californie,” and night scents such as “Reptile,” “Black Tie,” and “Nightclubbing.”

In April 2024, Celine expanded the collection with “Zouzou,” inspired by the youth culture of the 1960s.

Celine has established dedicated Haute Parfumerie boutiques in locations like Rue Saint-Honoré and Le Bon Marché in Paris, as well as Harrods in London, offering an immersive experience into the brand’s fragrance universe.

The design of the perfume bottles and the selection of fragrance names were personally overseen by Hedi Slimane, emphasising the brand’s commitment to artistry and personalisation in its perfumery endeavours.
