A unique bouquet of jasmine creates intensity against the skin.
The manifesto of femininity by Yves Saint Laurent. For women who invent their lives at every moment. For women who say yes to style, beauty and mystery, to the vertiginous heights of excess and passion. A bouquet of jasmine punctuated by green notes and a bold trail combining wood, vanilla and tonka beans are the signature of this new declaration of femininity.

Manifesto Eau de Parfum is a scent that expresses audacity, excess, and desire. This feminine assertion is distinguished by a bouquet of jasmine accented by green notes and a powerful smell blending wood, vanilla, and tonka beans. The flacon is shaped like a woman's silhouette.

This perfume is seriously one of the best scents EVER.
If you're looking for a "classy" or grown up vanilla scent...look no further! To me, it mostly smells very rich and cozy with vanilla and tonka bean, with a little bit of spice and some woods for a kick. The lasting power is quite impressive too, which is always a plus. Sure it's a little pricey, but it's worth every penny in my book. Two thumbs up!
I bought Manifesto blind, based on my mother's description of it, and her assessment that I would appreciate it (she was right, aren't they always). I've worn it in heavy rotation over the winter, and absolutely adore the complex, comforting vanilla that it becomes on my skin. BUT THEN CAME TODAY. Queue up the angelic chorus because *dang*, it's serious y'all. For the first time I caught a whiff of some amazing berry stained scent while I was working out in the garden under the afternoon sun, and lo and behold it was Manifesto, kicking ass and taking names on the first warm day we have had after the longest, stupidest winter I've ever been forced to be a part of. Like, I had to wear socks this winter instead of sandals and go to the store in a panic to buy milk and bread with all of the other Southerners. I saw a slap fight break out over the last bananas in the super market you guys... The bitter cold was clearly making us uncouth. The horror!! But I digress. The black currant is gorgeous and subdued; my skin especially loves to blow that note out of proportion making it smell synthetic or worse, like the bottom of a litter box, yet it's tempered beautifully by the depth of the tonka, vanilla, and woods. I'll be wearing this bad boy out this Spring! It's not often you find scents that really shine and feel like they belong both as a beacon of hope during the dismal cold winters, and as a celebration of the glorious first days of a Southern Spring.
Oh, and it smells nothing like BS Fantasy, nor does it smell like Pink Sugar. Not a fan of either, this is SO much more refined and complex, it certainly doesn't smell like the backseat of a 92 Corolla on prom night.
I saw this for the first time on display at the YSL counter today. I am a big fan of their fragrances so I was excited to see one I have not yet tested! I went to admire the simply beautiful bottle, it's a work of art. When I sprayed it on the card and brought it to my nose, I immediately thought 'Wow'. Yes, it is a very sweet gourmand but it's also mature (which I adore!) and more timeless than your usual sugary-sweet gourmand. It is a domination of warm vanilla and creamy black currant. I absolutely adore this fragrance and think it would be perfect for the winter. It's so warm and delicious. I can see why it would be disliked though. Some have said it's a disappointment and it doesn't smell like it's from Yves Saint Laurent. I have to disagree, I think it's a great expression of modernising today's woman who would be wearing a YSL fragrance. Thumbs up to this one!
Powdery and fresh. What a strange and amazing conflict. I feel it creamy, almondy, lipsticky, green, woody, dewy...Oh, but also fruity, floral...This is crazy! And therefore amazing. Love it. Like a sexy mess well held on together. So well held on that you are impressed. Messy and artsy but at the same time so elegant and classy and sophisticated? Wearing it i do feel very classy and confident. Like i can take over the world! Who doesn't want that in a perfume?
P.S. i imagine vanilla-bergamot ice-cream with roasted almond bits tastes the way this smells! Yummy
This fragrance is my new love, so gorgeous and special!
Very unusual mixture of green and sweet scent but at the same time intoxicating smell. Slightly oriental but not too much. Very long lasting and definitely eye catching.
Watch out you might be bitten if you wear this fragrance.:)))
And the bottle OMG gorgeous!
YSL realy surprised me this time.
