MANCERA Roses Vanille Eau de Parfum

I have 2 ml samples of Delina, Delina Exclusif, Montale Roses Musk and Mancera Roses Vanille. I also sampled Atomic Rose two times on my wrist. I know these all smell quite similar but couldn't decide on which one to put my money in until yesterday.

And the winner was: Roses Vanille!
Let me explain why.

The original Delina is amazingly crafted unique perfume but it's sour rhubarb note along with the rose just made me feel like something is not right and I only want the slightly sweet vanilla / incense / woody base of Delina, as I don't like to smell too rosey.

This made me try Delina Exclusif in the first place. However, with Exclusif, I also felt the overwhelming incence and oudy vanilla and it slightly gave me a headache on the first spray. Besides, very unfortunately, my husband didn't like it at all and said the room smells like rose water. So something in between the original Delina and Exclusif should fit my taste best. I thought Atomic Rose would do the trick because it doesn't have the sour note of Delina, but it smelled even more rosey for me, with a decreased version of vanillic incensey base of Delina I am looking for.

Therefore, next day, I bought the samples of Roses Musk and Roses Vanille. Roses Musk has a very sharp metallic opening that I couldn't stand at all. It dries down to a smoothly blended rose and musk but that opening somehow stays on my skin throughout the day and I couldn't wear that. Roses Vanille on the other hand has somehow what I have been looking for in all these fragrances (just a tad bit sugary but the rose and vanilla balances it very well), and I am glad I didn't fall for Delina or Exclusif or Atomic Rose as they are 3 times more expensive than this one.

No doubt it is beautiful fragrance, I can’t smell the rose but it doesn’t matter I can smell lemon cake but baked in the haven .

I was born in a very small town in Pakistan and used to live fairly close to a Sweet (Mithai) Factory, I remember as a child whenever I run/walk past that factory it used to smell like this. Gourmandish (slightly lactonic) sugary rosy vanilla, the notes are very literal and exactly what you get when you smell those in real life (none of the notes are customised/distilled to appease wider audience), they just smell as authentic as possible. I am sure it is going to be long lasting! This brought back memories!!.

Creamy (the creamiest I have experienced) vanilla, actual sugar that you can almost feel cracking between your teeth, and soft, feminine roses. The rose is not overpowering or heavy. I picture a bowl of vanilla custard with sugar crystals sprinkled atop and silky rose petals for garnish. This is very edible and romantic. Perfect level of sweetness. Instant love.

First ever reviewer! Tried it the day it came out.. This is my new Noir De Noir,, its amazing in both longevity and quality. I sprayed this on my arm and it lasted longer than 5 hours, even after a shower I could still smell it.
