Great fragrance!

Great fragrance! This does smell similar to spicebomb, however if spicebomb travelled the world for a couple of years and grew some chest hair.

Nice woody, warm, boozy scent. I just received my bottle in the mail and tested out one spritz on my arm. It projected for about 8 hours and I can still smell it on my arm after a shower at 20 hours later! It's smooth and full; quite masculine.
Highly recommend, and a safe blind buy for those who like rich, woody, boozy scents!

beautiful

This is a very attractive scent in my opinion. It’s very manly without being aggressive or showy. It’s smooth and refined. The vibe I get is seductive, yet dignified and warm. Sophisticated. I find it cozy and comforting too, which works perfectly for romantic moments. Yummy sweet tobacco, rum, leather and spice, all finely blended on a powdery backdrop. Zero sharp edges, and after the bitter top notes wear out (it’s only slightly unpleasant, give it a few minutes), it stays linear and delicious for about 7 hours before it begins to fade. I believe that the floral notes (tuberose and iris) and the tonka bean are responsible for that unique touch of luxury that makes MiB special. I definitely sense a talcum powder or baby powder nuance in here (smelled up close), perhaps that’s why I find it so comforting and cuddly. It’s also not overtly ‘perfumey’ either, actually makes me think of clean, warm skin, that of a calm and content beautiful man with very expensive tastes. It smells pleasant and elegant in the air...but up close, on the skin? Just amazing! As I’ve mentioned, it’s perfect for intimate/cuddly moments, while being elegant enough for professional and formal settings.

I didn’t like the other scents in this line, but Man In Black is fantastic. I’d enjoy smelling this anytime of the year, as long as it’s not outdoors in heat. If you’re going to wear this in spring/summer, you better be indoors with air-conditioning, this scent could get nauseating and cloying if the temperature isn’t cool enough. I also don’t feel it to be overly dark, it could work in the day time too, just not with very casual or sporty wear, as it’s not a ‘jeans and t-shirt’ scent in the slightest. I tried many different male scents trying to pick out a gift for a guy I like, he is a young professional type who I’ve never seen in a pair of jeans. He’s in semi-formal or smart-casual attire almost everyday of the week, so this scent is perfect for him. Anyway, this scent stood out above the rest I tried, and it sells out pretty fast where I’m from, so I guess people are really digging it.

The sillage is pretty moderate for the first 2-3 hours (arms length), then becomes a skin scent for the next 5-6 hours. On fabric it lasts till the next day, leaving a powdery, chocolatey, tobacco drydown…I also smell the vetiver in the ending, reminiscent of Encre Noir. It’s definitely not young nor casual, but it’s not overly mature either. I think of a ‘modern professional’ kind of guy, immaculately groomed, conditions his beard and moisturizes his hands...aged 25-45...or perhaps even a laidback, fatherly CEO type in his 50s, the kind his employees admire rather than fear...imagine a man who’s well-rounded, warm, dependable, and has all his ish together neatly tied into a bow (lol), the man who’s husband material rather than boyfriend or short-term fling. With most Bvlgari scents you can expect projection to be on the discrete side (or respectably moderate at best), because my Magnolia Sensuel does not project very much either, but the compositions are deliciously refined and beautiful. They are just not meant to be worn to clubs or parties where you have to compete against others for attention. I think Bvlgari scents must be more popular with introverts 😂

amazing

Got this recently as an early Christmas gift, and I must say I'm amazed!
Despite fragrantica stating this is warm spicy, I find this to be the definition of FRESH/SOFT SPICY.
It's really amazing to have a man's fragrance with so much creamy tuberose, and that soft animalic leather vibe fits in perfectly.Even doe it's not listed, I detect a lot of nutmeg and cinnamon, which makes it perfect for winter!
The dry down is unexpected, kind of powdery-woody, which I love. This FEELS black, I don't get warmth, which is interesting, because the notes seem fiery, especially that vanilla sweetish atmosphere it creates. I love it anyways, the fact that it's a little cold-ISH(maybe from tonka bean)
is intriguing and unexpected.Just my opinion.

The smell is really alluring, almost sexual I might say, but not necessarily Noir.

When it comes to longevity, on me, this lasts all day, just like Thierry Mugler's A*Men, which is actually what I'm looking for. Also, sillage is HUGE, not medium at all, as the site says.

nice scent

Much more refined than Spicebomb.... a spicy, leathery the light. Perfect for cool weather night out or intimate encounter, oozes class and confidence. An alpha male scent.

smells good

I can’t really say anything more than what has already been said but I do want to mention how great I think this scent is…. I’m a big fan of Spicebomb, Pulse of the Night, Herod, Oajan, Habdan, Carlisle, Blessed Baraka, Side Effect, Rehab, Dior Homme Intense, Guerlain L’homme Ideal EDP, Philipp Plein No Limits, and this fits right in there with them, I pick up on similarities between each one.

The opening is just magnificent, I really enjoy it. I get a nice big blast of warm spices, rum and a clean tobacco leaf with a waxy, leathery undertone. Within moments the powdery iris and a slightly indolic tuberose show up, which I just love, adding a very pleasant floral nature to the mix while retaining its sensuality and masculinity. The base of tonka, guaiac wood and benzoin perfectly compliments the rest of the composition, leaving you with a slightly sweet, creamy, earthy, leathery, gentlemanly and seductive aura.

I get average performance from my more recent batch, I’d say around 6-7 hours. Spraying my clothes might stretch it an extra hour or so but it’s still not crazy strong, which to some might be a good thing. I feel this is a more refined, mature take in comparison to Spicebomb, so if you feel that’s a bit too sweet and youthful, or even aggressive, Man In Black is different enough and at its price point it’s certainly worth looking in to.

Great for business professionals or more rugged individuals who don’t want something too fresh and sporty, yet enjoy more traditional scents, maybe even classic fougere’s but want something more modern, sexy and alluring. This is better suited for the colder months. Perfect for fall and winter, day and night.

All in all, this has been brilliantly executed at the hands of master perfumer Alberto Morillas and one he should be very proud of.

Ps. The sprayers for these bottles can be kind of finicky… they’ll either provide a nice even distribution if pressed down more aggressively, or shoot out across the room like a jet stream if pressed down slow and gently. There’s really no in between.
