MAISON MARGIELA Coffee Break Eau de Toilette

I just absolutely adore this house and its creations.

For some reason, I had put off testing, let a alone purchasing, a bottle of this...probably due to all the comparisons it drew to Rochas Man. But upon actually testing it at a store, I was surprised how smooth the scent was, even though I was able to pick out all the main accords quite clearly. The lavender was so so smooth, and along with the light coffee and lactonic aromas that blended masterfully into the background, creating such a soothing and comforting scent suitable for whenever-the-heck-you-want (bar hot weather). I have been wearing this a lot to bed lately and it has helped to calm a racing mind more than once!

Not a sophisticated or even unique profile, as it has plenty of mainstream appeal, but certainly an amazingly blend.

The coffee note is not as bold as some people may want, but boy it smells so nice. Like a creamy, spicy, Macchiato with a beautiful touch of lavender. Easy blind buy, that works for men and women. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

I think its beautiful scent.but i think its love hate parfum that way if you love lavender you love this if you dont you hate it. It mostly lavender natural lavender.very well made but i would lov it more myself if the coffee notes lasts more than few minutes i think the lavender suits with coffee althoufh its very different.totally unisex relaxin fragrance i like it a lot actually i would hav like it to be more coffee notes but very nice lavender parfum and thats just the way this parfum is.actually i would like to hav it a lot. The parfum name is perfect for this fragrance even it is most of lavender it is still could be coffee break experience at is best

I didn't go into this hoping for a fresh, realistic coffee fragrance, and maybe that's why I ended up liking it. Everyone I've asked says it "kind of smells like grandma," but I find it cozy and calming.
Coffee Break is lactonic, lavender-heavy, and slightly floral and sweet. It's like somebody whispered the the word "coffee" before sealing the bottle. I can't pick it up at all. Despite it's high price point and terrible longevity, I do enjoy it as an androgynous-leaning, work friendly choice. Once I run out, I probably won't repurchase.

Soft and fluffy gourmand. What I get is vanilla ice cream with a hint of lavender and maybe a bit of cacao but not coffee. Once I sprayed it I noticed delicate and creamy caramel note. The scent is comforting and subtile, sweet but not cloying. Personally, the scent lingers very softly in the air and after 2-3 hours sits close to the skin. Longevity is average (with 4 sprays ~5 hours).To my nose the scent of Coffee Break is simmilar to the ones that luxuy hair or body products have, creamy, sweet and relaxing. Probably autumn would be the best season to wear it.
