If you are a fan of rose and oud fragrances and you have an unlimited supply of disposable income, I would say this would be an excellent blind buy.

This is the the best rose oud fragrance out there - seriously exquisite, high quality juice that I can see being a hit amongst Gulf Arab heiresses.

I'm assuming many of the negative comments are fuelled by the price of this thing but honestly I think it is worth the price and I will by a full bottle as soon as I can.

Main notes on my skin: rose (very natural - not artificial or overly sweet), oud, amber and some background spicy notes from the pepper and saffron.

Very different approach from Ombre Nomade or Nuit De Feu! This is a realistic rose bouquet at the top that gets slightly sweeter toward the heart and then dries down to a really pleasant aquatic woody-musky base. I couldn’t detect any sharp synthetic ambroxan but something in the sillage keeps telling me that it’s there, especially in the dry down. The entire experience on my skin is nothing but extremely pleasant and uplifting - I don’t think this would ever offend anyone. There isn’t much oud, at least to my nose, not much spices either. I appreciate the fact that the rose notes in here aren’t powdery, obnoxious, or just aren’t trying too hard to impress like most other rose-oud fragrances. Les Sables Roses feels really effortless, elegant, low-key, and stylish, which really vibes with me and deserves a spot in my collection.

this one is awesome. opens up with watery, crisp, fresh rose that is green and realistic. you can start to detect the oud more as the fragrance dries down but its by no means oud dominant. this fragrance smells very elegant and high quality, honestly its a nice take on rose oud because the rose here isnt the jammy kind. reminds me of oud silk mood by mfk but that one is much more sharp with metallic undertones. the ingredients used here is also much better, and the effect you get overall is amazing. my favorite from the middle eastern collection!

Yes I agree, it is a masterpiece. If you buy any LVs, buy Ombre Nomad (that is in first place) then this. These are the standouts from the line. And by standouts I mean both are in my top 3 of ALL TIME...and I have hundreds of niche / luxury frags.

I now proudly own a 200ml bottle of this AND a 100ml one.

To those that say these are nothing special in the oud/rose category....jog on! I totally disagree.

Both Ombre Nomad and Les Sables Roses are groundbreaking in terms of oud rose scents and done exceptionally well. This is a beautiful rose...deep and dark. Very realistic. Like you have a bouquet of roses sitting right in front of you. Simply stunning. It is my top EVER rose scent in terms of quality, longevity, sillage etc. This smells EXTREMELY expensive...anyone near you will be able to smell this is no high street perfume.

Whereas Ombre Nomad is much darker and skankier, this is still dark and heavy but the rose very much is at the forefront which makes this somewhat of a crisper, more feminine scent. It is still heavy but somehow smells "cleaner" than Ombre Nomad if that makes sense. Both are stunning.

EDIT: After wearing this for 8 hours, it smells similar to Ombre Nomad in the drydown...they both have a kind of salty, rich oud smell.

If I had to choose only 1....it would be difficult... I would go with Ombre Nomad however if you have the budget for two, this is 100% full bottle worthy.

WHY is this rated 3.79??? This is a 5/5!!!!

EDIT: This is in my top 3 of all time. No designer perfume house has come close to touching LV in their perfume releases. This is worth every penny, and I never think that when it comes to high end frags. Most are a rip-off, poor longevity, cheap smelling, etc. But the bottle design, cap, sprayer, sillage, quality of ingredients....these are simply divine.
