Caroline J. I heard of the fragrance Kyoto when searching for fragrances with beetroot notes. This is actually an EDT. It's a translucent, earthy, rosy scent. Opens with a humid, rooty vegetalness, then gradually warms a little with subtle incense and vetiver notes. Very interesting fragrance, and I'm glad I was able to get a decant for me to enjoy it, since it's discontinued.
