Cow ( Limited Edition) by Zoologist Extrait de Parfum

This is a very calming scent. Powdery, milky and soapy. It is milky but not in a sour or over powering way. This is more like a powdered milk and is the star of the show. But it adds to this almost soapy aspect of the scent. This does lean feminine but as a guy, I will definitely wear this, this Spring.

This, imho, is the safest scent from the house.

This perfume is very complex and I feel like there’s many angles that I could write about it from. Firstly on my skin, Apple is the most recognizable note and it lasts the longest into the dry down . It’s a bright tarte maybe even a little sour apple that reminds me a bit of shampoo, or maybe what an apple would smell like in my dreams. This note is surrounded by fresh aromatic green notes you would find in a pasture. Sage, a hint of grass, it makes for a very soothing and familiar scent tapestry that zoologist is great with. I think the combination of milk and amber in the perfume gives it a very distant creaminess that doesn’t interfere with the other notes but instead rounds the scent out, softening the edges into a very wearable spring time perfume. Over all my mind is taken to a beautiful green field and cloud filled blue sky with in an early 2000s computer wallpaper. What isn’t seen in the landscape however, is a baby calf, freshly shampooed and blow dried, it’s fur glimmering in the sun as it sleeps peacefully without worry.

Cow by Zoologist smells to me in the best possible way like Herbal Essence shampoo and Oatmilk. At first I get a blast of sweet apple and light florals, after it settles into my skin I can start to smell milk in the background then combined with the florals gives off a oat feel. Cow would be great for an everyday fragrance. It’s comforting and inoffensive to wear in all settings but unique enough to be a signature scent. It’s extremely cold where I live right now so I’m looking forward to see how Cow works in the warmer weather. Lasting power is great (6 hours is good for me).

it's super grassy and the tiniest bit creamy, in a way that makes it deeply immersive. i smell it and i feel like i'm a beautiful brown cow on a small farm in the Netherlands. i'm a dutch farm girl's best friend because her mother died in childbirth and she's unhealthily attached to me. she feeds me crisp green apples that are meant for the horses. then i have to be sold in the marketplace or slaughtered for steaks and the dutch farm girl's like "no papa please she's my only friend" and her father's like "WE CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP THE COW YOU FOOLISH GIRL. go back to your room in the attic. you look like your dead mother and i hate you." so the dutch farm girl sets me free in the early morning, weeping while she watches me wander from the farm. i'm none the wiser to her sacrifice as i roam the countryside and munch on flowers and grass. then i wander onto a road and get hit by a truck at night.

anyway, like 99% of zoologists scents, they're freakishly expensive for the mediocre longevity. it's also the most wearable scent, although if you like zoologist scents you probably don't care about that tbh.

I ordered the Seahorse special edition by Zoologist and got a complementary/spoiler sample of Cow. It is amazingly fresh and green, yet soft. Smells like going to a meadow with a wellpacked picknick basket in the forrest. I am lactose intolerant (and also follow a vegan diet) and this scent gives me a "milk" fix. I would love to see how it thrives in warmer weather. So far so good, about 6-8 hours of lasting depending on the day.
