Very good

After an early lunch about a week ago I was out doing some Christmas returns and saw this new juice sitting out on the counter at my local Belks. I had not applied perfume that morning knowing I was headed to the department stores so Tendre eau de Parfum ended up my scent of the afternoon. It was in the mid eighties that afternoon here in Florida so I do not know how this will perform in the colder weather as of yet.

Upon first spritz it pleasantly reminded me of something I already had but I could not put my finger on it. I decided not to over analyze and just enjoy this girly baby. I then went about my business. Anyway, I could smell both the robust Grapefruit and sweet tropical smelling Quince right away and then within minutes a jammy Rose was quite pronounced and became the star of this composition. The Jasmine came in after the Citrus abated a little bit adding some creaminess. The Musk is not all that heavy and is most noticeable on the dry down along with the floral notes making this gorgeously smooth.

The Sillage was huge at first and then it became moderate. This is not a sillage bomb but that is okay because I could smell myself all afternoon. I had a younger hostess at the restaurant I went to for dinner mention how "pretty" I smelled. My husband joined me and as he hugged me he commented that he loved the way I smelled as well. When I told him it was the newest from Chanel he just smiled and said, "Chanel knows how to do it right!" He knew I was going to get this new fragrance if I had not already. I could smell Chanel Chance Tendre eau de Parfum until I bathed upon coming home from shopping and dinner at around eight. It had lasted about eight hours. This new baby was to be acquired.

Tendre eau de Parfum is a beautiful pick me up perfume. As for now my experience says it will be best for milder mornings and warmer days. If you are looking for a new Spring or Summer fragrance look no further. This one is going to shine then for sure. I highly recommend. Just go lightly in hundred degree weather. Oh I figured out it reminds me of Dior's Addict to Life minus the Lily of the Valley which is one of my favorite Summer Rose fragrances but it has become hard to find and quite expensive.

I am headed out to pick up my bottle of this new juice, and the big one, today. Another review will follow if I find it suitable for cold weather and also will report how it performs then as we Floridians are in for a cold spell (lows in the 40's) this week. Have a great one my fellow Fragranticans!

ADDENDUM: Well in the colder weather Tendre EDP is different. It is kind of hard to explain. I did not get the same vibe. I figured it had to be me because my dry skin does not like cold weather. I applied some unscented goat milk moisturizer and reapplied Tendre EDP. Eureka! That was the answer. The fragrance blossomed again in all its Rosy glory. I really think this is better in mild to warm weather. If you do wear it in colder weather moisturize heavily if you tend to have dry skin. I am going to look on Chanel.com for the body lotion. Still a huge love for me!

amazing

For a perfume to be amazing it doesn't need to scream "I'm here" - there's beauty in elegance. This is "fabulous" in its own right - it's beautiful in a very French way - understated and not "in your face". This perfume is like a LBD, it's suitable for a variety of different occasions, inoffensive but not boring in anyway - it's very "girl next door" yes, this isn't a perfume meant to drive anyone "wild". It's cozy, comfortable, cuddly - as well as classic, timeless, and sophisticated. Very clean and delicate. Love it.

new LOVE

Success !!! Making this my signature again, edt was my signature 6 years ago for over a year went through numerous bottles & creams , I find the new EDP even better as it has this fresh rose note that makes me think even more of a fresh clean bath as the EDT. Both excellent but this is now my new LOVE ❤️
Wellrounded ,creamy and fresh ,heavenly if you ask me. The musk and the woody notes melt together Into a clean feeling. The rose freshens it up and makes it classy. It’s a warm fragrance ,sweet , young and happy. My favorite right now.

good

I’ve had this since it came out and I’ve never reviewed it, despite it being one of my favorites. First I’d like to say, ignore the reviews claiming it’s boring, generic, and suited for a teenager. I’m the mother of a teenager and we both enjoy this. Besides, I don’t think putting an age on a perfume makes sense. Seasons? Ok, I get it. Genders? Maybe, because it helps give me a feeling of what notes are going to be prominent, but saying that a perfume is “only” suited for teens or women over 50…blah. I wore Angel and Samsara in my 20’s and I’m still wearing this as I approach 40. I would like to understand what people even mean when they call this generic and boring. If it’s so generic, why does anyone have yet to make an accurate comparison? That being said, I would also ignore the “reminds me of” section. This is a very high quality perfume and it’s not comparable to Daisy. It’s more complex, has better longevity, it’s more balanced, and it just flat-out doesn’t smell anything like it. Generic to me would be the many fruitchoulis, gourmands, white floral vanillas, and perfumes trying to smell like BR540. Just saying. I’m sorry, but I’ve owned Daisy and they’re not similar to my nose. The “reminds me of” section on this site has been so off on a lot of scents lately. Did Covid ruin people’s sense of smell? The votes have been confusing on a lot of perfumes over the past few years, it’s not just this one.

Anyway, this is just such an easy reach, it smells zesty and juicy in the summer, and light and airy in the colder weather. The grapefruit in this is quite pronounced and I enjoy that aspect of it. It’s not as citrusy as you’d think, it’s got a fizzy quality that mixes so beautifully with the rose. It’s perfectly balanced imho. It’s very versatile and suitable for ALL ages, and better yet, for all seasons and situations!

beautiful

This is so incredibly beautiful. My two kitties passed this year; Hermione in February and Henry last Sunday. I have been so depressed, but when I spray this it gives me a sense of calm. It's a happy scent even when you're as heartbroken as I am.
