Like the fashion line, this collection is a luxurious interpretation of materials: here tuberose and white-florals.
A new chapter in the Giorgio Armani Privé story, "La Collection des Terres Précieuses" gathers the artistic olfactory creations conceived by Giorgio Armani during his travels. The first two creations in this new fragrance line are a tribute to Russia, named after the legendary malachite stone. Worshipped since ancient times by the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans, Malachite is at the heart of many Russian legends, and is believed to protect men from the blows of fate. Giorgio Armani was inspired by a piece of Malachite in his possession to create these fragrances, looking to depict the expanse of Russian lands, from Moscow to the Urals. Rouge Malachite is an expression of Russia’s contrasting culture, with its mysterious, intoxicating power, and by its women, whose fair complexion lights up with red full of life and hope. It transports us to the centre of an incandescent world, where tuberose revels in its opulence and voluptuousness. A singular, massive presence in the head notes, tuberose meets clary sage essence, creating an unexpected sharpness, enhanced by pink peppercorns. At the heart, tuberose, orange blossom, ylang ylang and sambac jasmine absolutes combine, diving into a voluptuous and deep vibration of Cashmeran wood and benzoin resinoid. Finally, the tuberose, perfectly structured, burns red like a radiant sunset, contrasting with the AmberXtreme©* in a surprising dosage to give verticality and strength to this fragrance of fire and ice.
  • Top notes: Tuberose, Pink Pepper and Clary Sage
  • Middle notes: Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Ylang-Ylang, Benzoin, Cashmeran and Orange Blossom
  • Base notes: Tuberose and Amber

My all time favorite scent 💖 Rouge Malachite is a gorgeous mix of amber, cashmeran and white florals with a touch of pepper. It is so creamy, smooth and elegant! If I had to pick just one to own, this would be it. My signature since it was released four years ago, and it fits every occasion and season where I live.

good

I was fully prepared for disappointment after reading some of the recent negative reviews here, but I just had to get a decant of this so I could try it. Definitely not a safe blind buy, but I do think it is just as described by Demi Rawlings and others - it’s Alien with tuberose instead of jasmine. I put my (old formulation) Alien on one arm and Rouge Malachite on the other to test this theory and yes, it is tuberose Alien exactly.

Where does the subtle creamy suntan lotion vibe come from, though? I don’t know, but I am here for it. Was fully prepared to immediately shell out for a big bottle, but my Puerto Rican husband said he said he thinks this smells “EXACTLY like boiled plantains.” I said, “yeah but it’s good, though, right?” He said, “I mean, plantains smell good but is that what you want a perfume to smell like?” The answer, apparently, is yes. Yes, I do. I’m hooked on this stuff, it’s addictive.

Very good

Armani Prive Rouge Malachite is in one word, heavenly. It took some time to track this fragrance down, as many Armani stockists in my area have only a select few fragrances from the Prive line. Seeing how well-loved this fragrance is however they should re-consider stocking it as part of their range.

My wedding day is fast approaching and I am still yet to decide on my bridal fragrance. Rouge Malachite has very quickly become a firm contender.

Rouge Malachite changes quite a bit throughout its development. The initial spray is a creamy, lush tuberose with a hint of smoky spice. The spiciness most likely originates from the bay leaf accord, however, it smells reminiscent of smoked tobacco on my skin. It's sensual and soothing rather than stale.

The heart loses the spice and in turn becomes sweeter and creamier with notes of orange blossom, jasmine and ylang-ylang. The drydown is a delicious blend of creamy white tuberose on a syrupy amber base.

Rouge Malachite is by far one of the sexiest tuberose fragrances I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. It's not at all virginal and buttery like most tuberose dominant fragrances tend to be. It's a stand-out for sure.

The longevity and sillage are superb, and although this fragrance retails at a slightly higher price than a majority of the Armani Prive line, I consider it money well spent.

Great perfume

Magnificient fragrance, delicious, sexy, warm. Great perfume but if anyone don't love white florals especially tuberose no chace with this one either. Longevity is enormous . I will buy as soon as I can .
