Created in 2010 in collaboration with Jefferson Hack, editor-in-chief of AnOther Magazine, Le Labo's AnOther 13 fragrance is a unique, hypnotic eau de parfum composed of earthy botanicals.
A dirty blend of ambroxan, jasmine, moss and ambrette seeds fused with nine additional ingredients culminate an unrefined, natural-smelling potion with a piercing shine. Comparatively delicate on the skin, this fragrance has been likened, unsurprisingly, to paper, with a fresh, clean and addictive edge.
- Created by Nathalie Lorson
- Notes: Ambroxan, Jasmine, Moss, Ambrette Seeds Absolute
- Housed in a signature glass bottle

In 2010, AnOther Magazine commissioned Le Labo to create an exclusive scent. Sarah of colette was the catalyst for this project, which brought Le Labo and Jefferson Hack, editor-in-chief of AnOther Magazine, together creatively.
As everyone knows, Colette closed its doors in December 2017, but we were able to add AnOther 13 to our iconic collection in our labs around the world.

This is wEiRd! An atmosphere scent for sure. It smells like a motel room, from the 60’s, A/C set on 68 F and stale cigarette smoke...and I love it! Smells great on skin. Sexy funky 😜
This is the signature fragrance of one of the most beautiful girls I've ever met in my life so I'm very biased. That being said, it smells wonderfully unique. I definitely understand the "magazine smell" that many others have described. It absolutely smells like a heavy, glossy fashion magazine that holds a plethora of perfume samples within, or perhaps it smells like the lobby of a fancy hotel. It's a clean scent with a musky dark undertone that almost sours ever so slightly, but not in a way that soils the whole fragrance. To me, it smells decidedly black, brown, and silver. You can't find this particular smell anywhere in nature and I'm obsessed with it.
Pair with: crocodile kitten heels, rectangular framed glasses, sheer black garter belts, midcentury leather chairs with silver metal frames, monogrammed handkerchiefs, indoor smoking rooms.
I want my imaginary future husband to smell like this all day every day lol.
An annoyingly addictive smell that feels like you're not wearing anything. Glossy magazine paper is an accurate descriptor, so is the scent of a better-looking person's skin and clothes. Vacillates wildly between barely anything at all and the only thing you can think about. Generic and suitable for any time and place, yet unique and complex. I kind of hate it because I feel like I've fallen for a marketing ploy, but it smells really good.
Stunning. A very unique fragrance. Hard to describe with words.
I'm surprised the pear is the less voted of the notes, since it's present from the opening until the base (even gets slightly stronger in the drydown).
It's even more interesting that people vote for other notes like "amyl salicylate": I have a strong education in biochemistry, and I don't even remotely know what it is (let alone what it smells). Apparently, I am surrounded by expert nose-chemists on Fragrantica. Anyways...
It's a gem in my opinion, the women version of Escentric 02, from which it's much closer than from Escentric 01 imo.
Spring/Summer days, 20+.
