I love this fragrance. I bought a decant 3 weeks ago. Finished it up and bought a bottle. I got 2 compliments at the grocery store and then my friend wore it to try out and got compliments at Starbucks. Great summer citrus scent. The price is high but the scent makes me happy so it was worth it. Longevity on my sample was long but the new bottle needs to age for a couple of months.
My favorite orange scent by a mile. The dry down is a nice semi-sweet blue scent. The guy who said this is an orange scent with the texture of a cool blue is exactly right. The performance is mediocre, but… I’m a sucker for this one. The refills are 1/2 the price of a new bottle! It’s an investment! Or so I’ve told myself 😂
This is probably the only fragrance in existence that I’d pay full price for. I seriously can’t get this one out of my head. It’s one of the most joyous and captivating things you’ll ever smell out of a bottle. The 6-7 hour journey starts with top notes of neon orange citrus rock candy and settles back to natural pool waters you’d smell on Del Mar rooftops. You know how a scent can bring you back to a certain point in time with a certain person? This scent is what I want people to remember me by. Masterful.
Note pyramid is incomplete, in addition to orange citruses I get ginger, tea, ambroxan and a touch of white florals. Doesn’t have any of the usual aquatic notes one might expect - no calone, chlorinated water, salty water or seaweed here. The opening is huge and dwarfs the drydown which is why I think it is accused of poor performance, but in reality it is perceptible for many hours. Just dont expect that orange blast to last, it transitions into the ginger to give an impression of continuity. Lasts a lot better on outer layers of clothes (18 hours+ on jackets) than it does on skin, though I find performance acceptable on skin (5-6 hours from 10 sprays). In the deep drydown it smells similar to LV’s own L’immensite as the ginger and ambroxan seem to be the last notes standing. Overall an excellent fragrance that can be dressed up or down.
