UNKNOWN "FRAGRANCE" STORIES

It seems that every person at least once in his life was so amazed by the beauty of an unknown perfume that all his life he strives to find it. The creator of such masterpiece compositions as Femme, Eau Sauvage and Diorissimo, Edmond Rudnicka, once said that a legendary fragrance is recognized by the almost physical shock that everyone feels when first meeting them.

1.When the authorities forbade Yves Saint Laurent to use the word Champagne in advertising his fragrance because of its “alcoholic” name, the master was not at a loss. In newspapers and magazines, a space was placed in place of the name of the perfume, after which it was written that if a woman wants a good scent, then its name has absolutely no meaning.

2.Hungarian water - this is the name given to the perfume dedicated to the Viennese Queen Elizabeth. This fragrance was created back in 1367, and its cost was very high. The “legend” was sold only in pharmacies. Perhaps that is why the queen became acquainted with the symbolic fragrant water only 3 years after its release on the market. According to the advertisement, the perfume contains feminine charm and this, in some way, worked. The Queen, at 72 years old, enjoyed quite a lot of success with men, and her gentlemen were no more than 35. However, it was quite possible that the fans were influenced only by the title of the crowned person.

3.The scent of Opium was banned in China because the name, reminiscent of the Opium War, was believed to have a negative influence on the people.
