Best Miss Dior Christian Dior perfume

Best Miss Dior Christian Dior perfume

Looking for the top Dior scents of all time? You've come to the right place since we've narrowed down our favorite findings from the House of Dior, which is known around the world for its exquisite, refined blends. These perfumes, made with just the best ingredients, are nuanced, refined, and truly last.
Miss Dior was the House of Dior's first effort into scent when it was founded in 1946. This green, chypre fragrance was created to "leave a trail of desire in a woman's wake". While it remains a cult classic, the French Maison has gone on to release several more of the most popular and greatest perfumes for ladies, including Dior J'Adore and Dior Addict.
With a particular focus in floral fragrances, many of Christian Dior's perfumes include a bouquet of flowers. And here are some of our favorites. But we've also chosen some less obvious options that highlight elements like vanilla and sea salt. Have a read, choose a fragrance that speaks to you, and then go smell it in person - it may be your new trademark perfume for summer.

THE 12 BEST DIOR PERFUMES OF ALL TIME

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

Notes: Peony, lily-of-the-valley, apricot, rose, musk, sandalwood

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

Miss Dior EDP is a timeless classic that deserves to be the best Dior perfume of all time. It emanates femininity with its arresting aroma of delicate rose perfume, fresh lily-of-the-valley, fluffy iris, and apricot-tinged peony harmony. Comforting musks, sweet vanilla, and creamy sandalwood form the foundation of this fragrance.
Housed in the instantly recognized bottle, embellished with the Miss Dior bow, it takes us back to our late teens when we first discovered the world of 'adult' scents and became acquainted with Miss Dior EDT. This smell, which was sweet but not overly sweet, became a hallmark for many. But it's the current edition, Miss Dior EDP, that has captured our hearts, with its somewhat more refined take on florals that is less sweet and more bright, leaving behind soft musk in its wake.

Dior J’Adore Eau de Parfum

Notes: Ylang ylang, damask rose and sambac jasmine

Dior J’Adore Eau de Parfum

Dior J'Adore is an iconic fragrance that has been one of the brand's best-sellers for over two decades. With one scent, you'll understand why. The carnal combination, which debuted in 1999, pays homage to Christian Dior's passion of florals by celebrating various flowers from throughout the world. There's Turkish ylang-ylang and Damascus rose, Indian jasmine sambac, and jasmine grandiflorum from Grasse, also known as France's fine fragrance mecca. Together, these blooms produce a pillowy, smooth perfume that is both sophisticated and modern. It's crisp, sweet, and silky all at once, leaving the wearer feeling polished and put together. The ideal summer scent that is also quite elegant!

Dior Addict Eau de Parfum

Notes: mandarin leaf, orange blossom, jasmine sambac absolute, bourbon vanilla

Dior Addict Eau de Parfum

Dior Addict EDP is an enticing, sensual scent that will keep you going back for more. Not for the faint of heart, this fragrance stands out with its lasting blend of fresh mandarin leaf, fragrant jasmine sambac, and creamy bourbon vanilla. In fact, if you're looking for the longest-lasting perfume, this Dior number is a strong contender, lasting from twilight until dawn. Bold, bold, reassuring, and nostalgic, Addict is a smell we want to wear while dancing. If you haven't tried this scent before, we'd describe it as warm, soothing, and sweet, with vanilla, sandalwood, and spice taking center stage.

Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau de Parfum

Notes: Liquorice, almond, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, vanilla and tonka bean

Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau de Parfum

If you like the original Hypnotic Poison Eau de Toilette, you'll love this Eau de Parfum version. This was introduced to our shelves in 2014 and has rapidly become one of the brand's best-selling items. The EDP is darker and more enigmatic than the original, but it packs a punch with an irresistible blend of white florals (think jasmine sambac and orange blossom) with sharp licorice and creamy vanilla. It's sweet and elegant, and it only gets better with each sniff. This aroma is warm and pleasant, making it suitable for both winter and summer use. This fragrance is extremely stunning and has a lot of #shelfie appeal. It also has a strong fragrance appeal, because of its outstanding lasting power (up to 8 hours or more).

JOY by Dior Eau de Parfum Intense

Notes: Neroli, bergamot, jasmine, rose, vanilla, tonka bean, musk and sandalwood

JOY by Dior Eau de Parfum Intense

A fragrance that enhances one's mood. The sunny aroma is bright and airy, with zesty bergamot and mandarin, soft florals, and velvety sandalwood. As it dries on the skin, we sense a delicate rose aroma that lasts long after spritzing.

This is not a 'look at me' fragrance, but rather a delicate, elegant one that remains discreetly in the background, making it ideal for everyday wear (and anyone who loves florals). If you prefer something bolder, such as one of the top oud perfumes, this smell is unlikely to suit you. However, if you want gentle blooms that smell fresh rather than powdered, this is an excellent choice. A best-seller for good reason; it has broad appeal and does not dominate like many other scents. Our only caveat is that the scent's durability is mild, so moisturize your skin before spritzing it on to increase its staying power.

Dior J'adore Parfum d'Eau

Notes: Neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, rose, honeysuckle

Dior J'adore Parfum d'Eau

Dior's alcohol-free version of their popular J'adore fragrance is a crowd favorite. We know we say it a lot, but this fragrance has a broad appeal. It's light (far lighter than the original), creamy, and refreshing, with a lovely petal aroma of delicate white florals (neroli, jasmine sambac, and magnolia) and refreshing green undertones. Overall, the perfume is elegant and classy, and it reminds us of how fresh we feel after a shower. This smell is not overbearing and was made without alcohol (a first for Dior), so it lacks the original strong alcohol aroma. Instead, you're met with a flowery freshness that lingers on your skin for three to four hours before transitioning to a clean skin aroma. "This is a true ode to the white flowers of J'adore, in a fresh and spontaneous interpretation," explains Francois Demachy, the nose behind the fragrance.

Dior Vanilla Diorama Eau de Parfum

Notes: orange, pink pepper, lemon, rum, cacao, cardamon, bourbon vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli

Dior Vanilla Diorama Eau de Parfum

Looking for the best vanilla perfume? Turn your nose to Dior's gourmand fragrance. This aroma is inspired by Christian Dior's favorite pastry, the Diorama Gourmand, and it smells delicious. With its exquisite blend of Madagascan vanilla, rich chocolate, and alcoholic rum, it's creamy, warm, and incredibly delicious. And, whereas many vanilla smells are overly sweet, reminiscent of freshly baked cookies, this vanilla perfume is significantly more sophisticated. It smells rich, not sweet, and improves with time on the skin, leaving a woodsy, spicy finish. We're addicted and would recommend saving this one for special occasions like weddings or birthdays. Expect plenty of "you smell amazing" compliments when wearing it.

Dior Eden-Roc Eau de Parfum

Notes: sea salt, citruses, mineral notes, jasmine, coconut, pine tree and labdanum

Dior Eden-Roc Eau de Parfum

It may sound cliche, but this is summer bottled. Inspired by Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc (aka one of the world's most exclusive and elegant hotels), this fragrance is intended to evoke the hotel's luxurious ambiance and picturesque setting overlooking white clifftops and the Mediterranean Sea. Dior perfumer-creator Francois Demachy created an aquatic perfume that uses sea salt and mineral ingredients to recreate the aroma of warm, salty air.As it develops on the skin, you'll notice a suntan lotion aroma from the jasmine and coconut. The dry down is green and slightly herbaceous, a tribute to the hotel's lovely grounds. Overall, this is an attractive fragrance that is both cheerful and sleek.

Dior Holy Peony Perfume

Notes: Peony, rose, lily of the valley, strawberry, raspberry, woods and musk

Dior Holy Peony Perfume

You guessed it, Holy Peony is another flowery scent from Christian Dior's La Collection Privée. As the name implies, this fragrance is intended to evoke the peony blossom with a delicate, fresh perfume that is sweet and feminine. This floral scent, like the new J'adore fragrance, is light and airy with a fruity freshness (due to strawberry and raspberry notes).

If you want a loud, statement smell, this is probably not the one for you. Holy Peony is incredibly subtle, perfectly expressing the beauty and delicate essence of the peony blossom. Warm woods and musk emerge on the skin, lending depth to this otherwise simple (but extremely appealing) fragrance. This light, feminine, and elegant fragrance is ideal for the summer months and has our recommendation.

Dior Addict Eau Fraîche

Notes: Bergamot, grapefruit, freesia, pomegranate, white musk and woods

Dior Addict Eau Fraîche

This lively, fruity, and refreshing fragrance is sure to put a spring in your step. Seriously uplifting; one sniff of this and you'll feel energized. This floral fruity fragrance blends zingy bergamot and grapefruit with gentle florals and woodsy notes. While the crisp fruits cut through the white blooms, the remaining scent is powdery and refined, reminiscent of the best lavender perfumes. This is a fantastic choice for anyone who enjoys traditional flower fragrances. In terms of wearability, we can envision this on a breezy summer night, spritzed onto a billowy outfit. This is a lovely scent that will bring you many compliments. The only drawback? In comparison to other Dior perfumes we've tried (and listed here), the longevity is short, lasting only a few hours. We recommend sprinkling it on your hair and clothes for a longer-lasting scent.

Dior Ambre Nuit

Notes: Bergamot, grapefruit, Damask rose, pink pepper, ambergris, guaiac wood, cedar and patchouli

Dior Ambre Nuit

It almost goes without saying that Dior is not the place to go for a deal. Look for the greatest affordable perfume. Dior offers elegant, well-balanced compositions that make you feel, not just smell, luxury. We felt this most strongly when wearing an Ambre Nuit. This sumptuous piece is velvety, silky, and seductive, making it ideal for evening wear or any occasion when you want to leave an impact. This amber floral fragrance is all about contrast and "the encounter between two extremes," according to Dior perfumer and inventor François Demachy. "It is, in a way, the olfactory expression of Beauty and the Beast," he goes on to say. Honeyed amber is warm, while Turkish rose is delicate and silky. Together, these leading components scent sweet, musky, spicy, and fresh, making it an ideal year-round fragrance.

Dior Dune Eau de Toilette

Notes: Brazilian rosewood, mandarin orange, bergamot, peony, lily, ylang-ylang, wallflower, jasmine, rose, amber, sandalwood, benzoin, oakmoss, vanilla, patchouli and musk

Dior Dune Eau de Toilette

Dune, released in 1991, is a timeless classic that contrasts the conventional aquatic smells of the period. The brand desired a unique marine fragrance-free of the typical characteristics associated with sea scents (such as melon and cucumber). Instead, the three perfumers behind this fragrance used zesty citruses, white florals, and warm woods to create a marine scent that smells more like hot sand than ocean air. Dune is completely distinct, making it difficult to express in words. At first, we were struck by the powerful aroma of white flowers (peony, lily, rose, and jasmine). While this was pleasant, we didn't get the beachy, Mediterranean feel. We couldn't really appreciate the intricacy of this smell until it had settled on our skin. The dry-down is warm, calming, and earthy, evoking scorching desert sands and a hint of salty air. This perfume is ideal for the summer and should be tried on the skin before being left for an hour or so to fully develop.
